About The Creator

Andrew Ingkavet is a music educator, author, composer, and former MTV-Asia VJ who has helped thousands of children unlock their creativity, confidence, and joy through music. He is the creator of the Musicolor Method® , a step-by-step approach that makes music accessible to all children—especially those who don’t thrive in traditional lessons.

Before his journey into education, Andrew worked as a creative director in New York’s fast-paced advertising world, leading campaigns for brands including Hewlett-Packard, Chase, Clairol, and American Express. But after the events of 9/11, he left the corporate world behind to raise his son and pursue a life with more meaning and purpose.

What started as a few piano lessons in his Brooklyn living room has since grown into a thriving teaching studio, a team of educators, a complete music curriculum, and a global movement for inclusive, joyful music education.

Andrew lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn, where he continues to teach, create, and champion the idea that music isn’t just an activity—it’s a pathway to unlocking the superpowers inside every child.
